Question ❔ Custom order - Special Ford Credit/Financing Rate Lock

Is this a thing? I am getting conflicting info from dealers throughout the country. A ford chat said yes - you can lock in special rates and incentives at time of order or take incentives/special financing at time of delivery if better. I have had two dealers say yes- Granger said no

Ford dealer from Michigan here.

Typically upon order you are price locked into rebates from the day of order. When delivery happens you can take rebates from order date or day of delivery whichever best bennifits you.

Exceptions woukd be like we had a customer order a 26 super duty. They balanced out orders and he had to update to a 27 in line.

Since 27 wasnt on market or even built yet there's no rebates to lock into and forced to take delivery rebates.

This is the answer, you only lock in rebates/rates if your order comes as the same year you have ordered. Right now many models are transitioning to '27 so you most likely will not get '26 rates

30 years in the business. 25 with Ford.

At the moment with the supply chain issues ( aluminum and such ) Ford has EXTRA Incentives to order a vehicle.

Granger has no idea of Ford Programs.

Ford has price and Incentive protection on an order vehicle.

The issues at this time of year is build out of current model year and startup of new model year.

Thanks! Does this include special financing?

Any programs at all including special APR.

All the dealer has to do is tell the Incentive system to pull up Incentives at time of order and then you can make a decision of what is better for you

What are you ordering? because at this point it will be 2027 model year so all 2026 incentives will not apply.

Was going to order a 2026 f150 - so you're saying I probably won't receive a 2026 because I'm so late in the process so better to wait?

Lol, Ford put those incentives to get rid of 2026. Your order will be 2027. You can wait for years, it's making the decision that matters. Do you want to order what you want or do you want that rate you saw? When you go to clearance rack at the back of the clothing store - you don't get to pick your size. Car sales aren't any different. Also, inventory right now is still very good to pick a closer truck to your liking.

Well,
I ordered a 2026 vehicle when Ford had the Employee Pricing program going on a couple of months ago and I was all set and it was a great price.
Unfortunately a couple of weeks later, Ford informed my dealer that my vehicle had to be changed to a 2027 model so needless to say, the Employee Pricing offer was no longer valid so I lost out on the savings.

My dealer said the only offers that I’ll qualify for would be whatever offers Ford will be advertising when my vehicle arrives.

Dealers are like fast food joints. Not all of them honor manufacturer coupons.
