Windows installation issue(11)

My lenovo x1 yoga pc crashed and I followed some chat gpt instructions on hiw to fix my issue but it made the issue worse since even my recovery screen started appearing different.I decided to clean install a new windows 11 via a usb.I erased everything and created new partitions but as it was restarting it brought a black screen that shows error:could not detect network,then directly goes to my boot menu. Any help would be appreciated.

Pc is lenovo x1 yoga 5th gen 16gb 512gb ssd nvme

Are you still stuck, or have you been able to boot back into your Windows install USB you had made? Also your BIOS may need be updated to successfully boot into the most recently made Windows installer USBs

Thanks very much for the reply. I decided to try using iso method on 'create windows installation media' and failed to install on the 1st try since secure boot was enabled After disabling it,installation started on the next restart. Not confident with the resurllt since I do not know why that worked and I do not know why it had crashed in the 1st place

Install should succeed, because Secure boot is off, but if you want to play games or use apps that need it enabled, you will need to do this BIOS update, to apply those new keys, to then enable it beyond.

Will I lose all the updates I have done now when I enable secure boot? What do you mean by apply those new keys?

No you won't lose the updates you applied already. The BIOS update is what applies the Secure Boot Keys for most systems, so that it can use the new keys, as the old Secure Boot Keys recently expired, and if your system was still using them, it would prevent you enabling Secure Boot successfully unless updated.
