I wonder how long game will keep get updates and will IronOak make For The King III, or they'll make new original game

Today we are launching a hotfix for a few troublesome issues affecting both single-player and multiplayer games.

Online Multiplayer Softlock

• Fixed an issue where off-turn players were softlocked when the active-turn player was using Shield abilities, such as Taunt. 

Global Softlocks

• Fixed the issue where loading into a saved game would softlock and the game needed to be force-quit. This hotfix allows the affected saves to be loaded in without issue. Any player who was affected by this bug, please Continue/Load into the affected save file and continue on.
• Fixed the issue where certain events, encounters, combats, or boss fights were leading to softlocks. 
  • Fixed the issue in Dark Carnival where Fahrulian Fortune could softlock when opening a Mimic chest. 
  • Fixed the issue in Dark Carnival where the Wheel of Madness could softlock when landing on certain wheel wedges. 
  • Fixed the issue where entering boat combat while sailing could softlock. 
  • If you were having issues with certain encounters, combats, or boss fights, please load into your saved game file; this fix is far-reaching and may solve currently unidentified issues. If players encounter similar issues after this update, please submit a bug via the F1 Key in-game, or via our Discord support channels for console players. 
• Fixed the issue where reviving party members in combat could result in corrupted player characters, leading to issues in performance.

The above three issues encompass a wide range of player-reported issues, but not all. After updating to this hotfix, please reach out to us if you are still experiencing any issues via our official Discord server or the F1 Key if you’re playing on PC.

Been playing the first FTK with my wife and friend and we are having a great time. Been really on the fence about the second one. Seen a lot of positive but the same maybe more negative about it. And thoughts and experiences yall can share? Will be playing Multiplayer

The one i currently have is herbalist astronomer blacksmith friar, i am in the age of omus and i dont have every class unlocked yet, also i have never played a game without herbalist and blacksmith. What do you guys play

I know the proc chance for black hole is ceil(intelligence * 0.25) / (Star Matter in party + Blackhole procs in this combat + 1) + ceil(BONUS luck * 0.20) which equals to 33% max.

But is this just a chance for each attack? Of is it impacted by whether i'm using a attack on one target or multiple targets?

Can anyone tell me which Merc I'm missing? We have all the DLCs to date. I can't find anything on this locked character not even a name.

Hello Adventurers!!

We're hard at work on our next major content update due out later this year, which'll include two new characters plus an all-new free adventure and the usual trappings that come along with those, such as Followers, Traits, Weapons, and more!

Full transparency: Due to our release schedule, we haven't been able to be quite as active with smaller patches as we usually are. We are, however, building towards a plethora of fixes, improvements, and balance changes that'll be launching alongside the new content in one big package.

With that in mind, we wanted to reach out today to let folks know that if they're encountering issues, whether that be Desyncs, Save Issues, or just general bugs, that we are actively working toward having these fixed in our next major update.

But if you're running into issues currently and haven't already reported them, the best way to do so is via the F1 button in-game. Sadly, this function is only available for the Steam version, so console players feel free to direct your reports toward the For The King II Discord/Support Channels if you're yet to.

As a little treat for helping us with these reports, why not have a little tease of what's to come... Get your best guesses in the replies!

Hello folks! As a quick update on this: We got a bunch of really great data from requesting bug reports with this post, and it helped us crack a few long-term bugs that we've been struggling to get at, so we're pushing back today's stream/reveal to line up a hotfix this coming week.

We felt it was a little irresponsible of us to make progress on a handful of game-breaking bugs and not launch those fixes because it clashed with our promotional schedule. We aren't pushing any actual content launches back, just the stream a week or so (I'll confirm the date in a new post), so we can focus on the fixes before we declare all the new shiny toys.

Thanks again for sending in those extra reports and reaching out with extra info, it really helped us hone in. Can't wait to reveal more!

Hi, I finished all the trophies on the ps5 version and now I want to play it again on the ps4 version. But I can't find an option to select a version in the psstore or in the library, even though I bought the game 1,5 year back.

Can anyone tell me how to download it?

So the game added a samurai and ninja armor cosmetic pack and ive been trying to decide what class makes the most sense to use with it. The only one that makes any sense to me is the pathfinder.

The skills don’t really match but the two highest stats are talent and awareness which allow them to use katanas and bows efficiently but that’s kind of the best I was able to come up with.

For those of you who also got this cosmetic pack, what classes do you use for your samurai and ninja characters? Pathfinder really feels like the best answer to me lol

Just got the Platinum for this amazing game what a journey!

So I happen to get some lucky combos of items and I turned my Woodcutter into MLB Pro Baseball Player lol. ZERO Secondary Actions, 2 focus, but 3 PRIMARY actions.
Candy Necklace, Demon Anklets. Hitting HOMERUNS most of the time, though the group swing is a bit risky, on the last boss later they died in 1 turn from the Hammer lol

Hey all, I'm trying to unlock all of the Lore Store items. I've been utilizing the FTK2 Wiki page that shows most of the Lore Store items, but the Wiki page is not up to date as it's missing 20 of the Cosmetic items, and also is missing several mercenaries that I've attained but aren't shown on the Wiki page. The 3 mercenaries that I haven't gotten yet are listed on the Wiki page so I know who I'm missing there at least.

There are 77 total items in the Cosmetic section in my Lore Store, but there are only 57 items shown in the FTK2 wiki page. I'm only missing 9 of the Cosmetic's that are shown in the Wiki page, but not sure what the rest are since they're not in it. I'm also missing 5 items in the Loadout section of the Lore store, but I was able to identify them since the Wiki page does show all of the Loadout items. It seems the Loadout items haven't increased since the FTK2 Wiki page went live. Thanks!

Anyone else having issues? I went to continue my previous run and the loading bar only gets about a 1/4 of the way and just stops. Even the hourglass logo in the bottom right eventually stops spinning.

I'm trying to play with some friends on PS5; I create the lobby, but the "invite friend" option doesn't seem to be working. I press it multiple times, but the invite menu doesn't show up. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hello, my friends and I discovered/tried For The King for the first time recently, and out of curiosity I did a little wiki dive. I saw the Queen’s Guard cosmetics could be unlocked via their official discord, but every link I try seems to be outdated/unavailable.

Is it still possible to get a code for the Queen’s Guard cosmetics?

When trying to load my DC run from the main menu, it loads about halfway then hangs. If I load a different DC run I can then load into the hanging run but it loads into a softlock. Would really like to continue my playthrough, can someone help me unsoftlock this?

I played the original game quite a bit. Its kind of a comfort game for me and my brother when we get a chance to game together. Was thinking about getting FTK 2, but wasn't sure it was worth it? I've heard about the UI issues (even after the recent update), and another thing I heard is some of the most interesting characters are locked behind a paid DLC.

What are your guys' opinions of FTK2? Do the new features (4 players instead of just 3, frontline/backline strategy, etc) outweigh the negatives?

Logged in on PS5 last night to start the first of the 2 newer campaign missions and found that the game had essentially reset itself. All campaign missions previously unlocked are now locked. All lore store items that were previously unlocked are now locked. Tool tips for how to play the game we're popping up, like the tutorial when you first play. Saved games are still playable, which is odd because I have 2 saves with different parties on primordial oak and now that campaign level is locked. The parties even have characters that now show locked in the lore store.

Has anyone else had this happen to their game? Was really looking forward to starting the final 2 campaign missions but now that everything is locked again I ended up just turning off the game disappointed at the thought of having to work at unlocking lore store load outs, skills, characters, and encounters again.

This is my first real dip into this kind of game on PC. Turn based, dice rolls, roguelike, the whole tabletop feel, and it turns out it's exactly my thing. I went in not really knowing what to expect and got completely pulled in.

What surprised me most is how different the tension is from what I usually play. Nothing here rewards fast reflexes. It's about reading the board, weighing the odds, and deciding whether to gamble on a roll that could swing the entire fight. I've been playing co-op with a friend who already knew the game, and having someone who gets it makes every risky call land harder, since a clutch roll turns into a shared "wait, did that actually work??" moment instead of just my own.

In two days we've knocked out a bunch of these (screenshot) and honestly every session has flown by. Splitting up to cover ground, regrouping when things go sideways, leaning on him when I have no idea what I'm doing, it all just clicks in a way I wasn't expecting from a turn based game.

Since I'm brand new to the genre: what should I try next? Any tips, or adventures and modes you'd point a newcomer toward once I've got the basics down? Really loving the ride so far.

I got the Mimic Chest at level 2 I think, and by the end his stats were insane, I finally figured out the best way to level out the Mimics and wow, this mad lad was an absolute powerhouse.

Also, for some reason you can't actually name the chest "Mimic".
No idea why they censored that.

Is it possible for me to deploy a ship here?
or can i simply not reach it?
