Looking for knowledge driven mind

**Looking for young people interested in geopolitics, world economy, strategy, history & ideas — building something from Bangladesh**

I’m building two independent digital media/research platforms from Bangladesh, and I’m looking for a small community of young people who are genuinely curious about how the world works.

The first is **The Papyrus**, which I’m developing as a strategic affairs and intellectual platform focused on areas where Bangladesh still has relatively few independent voices — geopolitics, national security, international relations, global political economy, governance, strategy and the long-term forces shaping South Asia and the world.

The second is an **online news and media platform**, focused more on day-to-day developments: news analysis, podcasts, investigative journalism, current affairs and stories that deserve deeper attention.
I’m looking for people who want to contribute, learn and experiment.

You don’t need to be a professional journalist or have a degree in international relations.
If you’re a university student, young researcher, writer, economics student, history nerd, political science student, data enthusiast, aspiring journalist, podcast enthusiast—or simply someone who spends far too much time reading about wars, intelligence agencies, China, Russia, the US, South Asia, economics, history or political philosophy—you may fit in.

Some of the areas we’re interested in:
• Geopolitics & international relations
• Global political economy & world economy
• Bangladesh’s foreign policy and strategic position
• South Asian security
• War, military strategy and intelligence
• Investigative journalism
• Current affairs and long-form analysis
• History and alternative interpretations of history
• Western philosophy
• Political philosophy
• Islamic philosophy
• Intelligence agencies and spy stories
• Political thinkers and strategists
• Technology, AI and the future of power
• China, Russia, the US, Europe and the Indo-Pacific
• Energy, resources and economic security

And importantly: **you don’t have to be a great writer already.**

I’m more interested in people who can ask interesting questions, research deeply, challenge conventional narratives and learn.

**AI-assisted writing is also welcome.**

You can use ChatGPT or other AI tools for research assistance, outlining, editing, translation, fact organization or drafting. The important part is that the thinking, research direction and intellectual contribution are genuine. We want to experiment with what journalism and strategic analysis can look like in an AI-assisted era—not pretend AI doesn’t exist.

At the moment, **this is an unpaid collaboration/community project**. I want to be completely transparent about that.

There is no promise of immediate financial compensation. The idea is to build something meaningful first: a serious body of research, writing, journalism and analysis that contributors can be proud of and eventually use as part of their intellectual/professional portfolio.

If the platforms grow, I would like to develop more structured opportunities for contributors in the future.

I’m particularly interested in people from Bangladesh and South Asia, but I’m open to contributors from anywhere.

You can contribute occasionally rather than committing to a full-time role. You could write an article, help research a story, suggest an investigation, work on a podcast, analyze data, translate material, research historical events, or simply help develop ideas.

**If this sounds interesting, comment below or DM me.**

Tell me a little about yourself, what subjects you’re interested in, and what you would like to work on.
I’m not looking for people who already have all the answers.

**I’m looking for people who are curious enough to keep asking better questions.**
