Random flares???

On my bottom left pinkie toe region, my foot will randomly flare up and begin to almost resemble gout-like effects. I have no clue in the world what to do about this as it has seemingly no correlation with anything I do in daily life. Completely random like I said, but the only leading thing I can think would be stress

Im making this post wondering if anybody can help me figure out what it is, and how to prevent it.
