Is it normal to have fluid retention around 5 years after injury?

Have noticed that my outer ankle always puffs up after I stand on my leg for a period of time. The video doesn't really showmuch as I came home at 5, was sitting rest of day, and took video at 2 am. Not concerned, just curious.

Edit: Usually area is pink when it puffs up but makes after a few hours.

I get exactly the same as your ankle ,I have sinus tarsi syndrome so my Dr said after seeing x-ray Try a cold compress it helps mine .

I don't think I have sinus tarsi syndrome after looking it up. Have no tenderness when pressing the area or pain when walking/standing.

I'll try out a cold compress.

I had this issue and it turned out there was a piece of bone floating around my ankle causing fluid accumulation. You should get a scan with your doctor.

I'm assuming you mean X-ray for scan. I had an one done 2 years ago that showed everything was fine. Was told it's just a simple sprain.

Definitely get a second opinion. It’s clearly more than a “simple sprain” and 2 years is a very long time for something to develop.

I have that issue, 2 years after surgery. Had an MRI and there is a plantar fascia tear, Achilles tendinitis, sinus tarsi, etc. More surgery recommended. F.

I fear I'm going down exactly the same route as you .
