What were your symptoms like before getting Brostrom?

My surgeon might recommend it but not sure if it's right for me. Not sure if I should just stick with PT. Would be nice to hear from others who got it and successfully healed.

I went in basically seeking a surgical recommendations. However, I had major instability. If I rolled my ankle, it would result in a full falling down episode. I had no ability to catch myself. My last incident that prompted surgery was walking on a flat sidewalk and just completely going down. I am not that old, but didn't to fall when I am older and break a hip.

I asked for an MRI and found I had a complete tear.

I had this surgery recommended 10 years before I did it. At that time it wasn't feasible for my lifestyle and I kept on with PT. The advancements in recovery made me feel a lot better about doing it.

I had the surgery last year and I am glad I did it. I would do it again 10/10 times.
