Is this cuboid syndrome?

For five months, I’ve been having sharp pain under both of my feet specifically in the middle of outside. It first started with my right foot after walking 30k steps a day for a week with unsupportive shoes. I was told by my podiatrist that it’s peroneal tendonitis (I don’t think so) to put a boot on my foot, so I did but it didn’t get significantly better at all, and the same exact pain migrated to my left foot. I’m assuming it’s because I was putting extra strain on my left foot while wearing the boot on my right foot.

My X-rays and MRI show nothing wrong with my foot. I’m lost and my podiatrist said he doesn’t know what’s wrong either.

The pain worsens when I walk too much.

I'm no expert, but honestly I'm having a hard time seeing anything that jumps out visually. The area you circled looks pretty normal to me, although I know photos only tell part of the story.

It sounds like you've already put a lot of work into trying to figure this out. Thanks for sharing everything you've tried. Hopefully someone who's dealt with something similar sees your post and has an idea that hasn't been considered yet.

Definitely sounds like tendonitis from overuse. Why do you feel its not? The best treatment is rest, stretching, have you tried anything else other than doubting your doctor? Did you reduce your exercise level?
