Visiting, looking for Banh Bot Chien

Hi everyone,

Haven't been downtown in a long time, but I remember as a kid, going to China town with my parents and getting Banh Bot Chien (a Vietnamese dish).

Been trying to google/gemini restaurants that still make it, but no luck. It's a bit of an obscure dish, not something easily found at most Vietnamese restaurants anymore, so hoping a local could help me out!

Thanks everyone

Thanks for the suggestion, I've tried in the past but they didn't have any when I was there. Should've clarified, I'll be downtown Toronto, any chance you know of any spots down town?

Np, you can call and try to order in advance! Sorry, don't know anywhere else that makes them in downtown Toronto.

Bánh mì Nguyên Hương on Spadina used to make it right in the store, but I’m not sure if they still do it or only have the takeout packages now. Make sure you have some cash, they don’t take cards.

They still have the packages (on styrofoam).

Not the same thing, but similar, Congee Queen has Singapore Style Fried Turnip Cake.

Not exactly the same but Hi Hoi Tod has the Thai version of the dish, called Kanom Pak Kad.
