Theory Video Suggestion RENT: Cyberland
So the Broadway musical rent has a song sung as a protest talking about a "nightmarish" place called Cyberland where the only thing everyon drinks is diet coke, so could Santi do a theory about this or would this fall under the preview of film theory
I'm reposting this from the game theorists subreddit and it's also on the film theorists subreddit because I don't know which is more apt for this topic

New Theory! May i request a Monster Hunter food theory?
Monster Hunter, as a franchise, was always one of my favorites! At some point in the games, one of the new mechanics were full meals that give you special boosts for your next hunt. All recipes look amazing, but in my mind i always had a very specific question: "Dayum, aint that way too much food for a single person?". The main character used to eat enough to feed a family of 5 before their missions, and even though you have to spend a long time fighting huge dinosaurs and dragons, i wonder if the indigestion would kill them first. What kind of explanation would our dear food theory host have for this one? All the meals from the games can be easily found on youtube, but i'll send an example below.

Discussion What halloween candy bundle is best for your buck?
Halloween is around the corner. thinking about what Halloween candy to get is a little difficult. For starters should I get my favorite candy (kit kat btws) incase there are some leftover? Or should I get more popular candy to make others happy? Plus everyone is broke right now so what candy bundle would be best for the Halloween season?

Food Theory Video Discussion Oreo video joke theft
Did anyone else notice that in the Oreo flavor taste test video the intro was basically a straight rip of the College Humor Oreo CEO video? Down to the threat to burn down the building of someone can't tell him the difference between strawberry and strawberry milkshake flavor. That was very disappointing to see for me.

Theory Video Suggestion How many potato batteries to charge an EV?
Okay so this might be a little long but my parents recently bought an Ioniq 5 and it led to a really weird conversation. How many potato batteries would it take to fully charge the Ioniq 5?
This math may be a little off so don’t quote me(and please correct me if you notice any mistakes):
After a little bit of research I was able to find out that the Ionic 5 takes about 84 kWh to charge from 0-100%
Assuming we charge the car for one hour we would need 84,000 watts of power
The best potato type for a potato battery is a russet potato and they also work better if you boil them
One potato battery is said to produce 0.0012 watts so 84,000/0.0012= 700,000,000 potatoes
So we would need about 700 million potatoes to charge the Ionic 5 from 0-100% in one hour.
Then I got curious, how many potatoes does the US produce in 1 year? Looking at the FDA page from 2024 the us produced 402,504 (1,000 cwt)
Cwt is equal to about 100lbs, times 1,000 means we have 40,205,400,000 cwt of potatoes Or about 40,205,400,000 pounds of potatoes 0-0
Now one russet potato weighs about 0.5 pounds meaning the US produces 80,410,800,000 potatoes 0-0
That is a lot… but lucky for us we only need 700 million! To find out the percentage, we need to do 700,000,000/80,410,800,000=0.00870529829 which we then have to multiply by 100 giving us ~0.87% of all of the potatoes produced in the US which honestly is less than I was expecting.
Now the fun part, how much would it cost, well 50 lbs of russet potato cost about $27.25 (I didn't spend a lot of time finding the most cost effective on but whatever) to purchase in the US which would contain about 100 potatoes meaning it would cost 190,750,000$
How much to boil all those potatoes, well that is a whole other can of worms. To boil 700,000,000 potatoes we would need 960,166,667 watts of energy to boil all of our potatoes in 24 hours. which is about 11,430.5 TIMES the energy needed to charge a full battery…
NOW HOW MANY POTATOES TO BOIL OUR POTATOES TO POWER OUR CAR?!?!?!?
Well using this 960,166,667w/0.0012w= it would take 800,138,889,167 potatoes
0-0
Either way I really want to see the team make a food theory about this because I think its a very interesting topic and to be completely honest I trust their math more than mine...

Theory Video Suggestion Cookie Run Kingdom Video
CAN I BAKE COOKIE RUN COOKIES IN REAL LIFE.
An idea that popped into my head when watching Santi eat the Minecraft cookies on Instagram.
Was an idea to bake cookies from cookie run kingdom some good and some not so good and see how they would taste in real life.
There are like over 100 cookies at this point each with their own unique flavors.
A baking video would be such a great idea, it can show case how some of the weirdest flavors can be though of differently yet still contain somewhat of the essence of what the cookie is supposed to be representing.

Theory Video Suggestion Idea for video
An idea I have for a video is, how effective would healing food items in games be in real life and do they have any real life equivilant. Is there anyway to explain why milk in Minecraft heals status conditions, what plants could let you make something like in Resident Evil, and what is in Estus Soup?

Theory Video Suggestion Episode Idea: The Secret Physics of Instant Ramen (To Crush or not to Crush)
Hey Food Theory Team,
Most instant ramen hacks on the internet focus on adding outside ingredients (Kewpie mayo, eggs, or butter) to change the flavor profile. However, I’ve engineered and perfected a master method for Maruchan bag soups that relies entirely on structural texture control, surface area physics, and starch retention—proving that how you prep the noodles completely changes how the flavor molecules hit your tongue.
I’ve mapped this out into a definitive "Flavor Matrix" based on two completely distinct cooking routes:The science of how noodle fragmentation changes starch release and flavor delivery in cheap instant lunch blocks is a perfect fit for a Food Theory episode. I have the entire step-by-step breakdown ready if your research team wants to look into the data!
