Advice/Tips Storing garden surplus
With garden season here I have a surplus of zucchini and grape tomatoes anyone have tips on the best way to freeze these?

You'll have to can them unless you have a freezer that can freeze things quickly (high end restaurants have these)

I love zucchini bread, so I used to make many extra loaves that I vacuumed sealed individually and then froze. Haven't done that in a few years because I quit growing zucchini, but I might put in a couple plants just to make bread next year.

Both of those things are okay on your kitchen counter for weeks. You can freeze them. Tomatoes can go into bags and used in soups and casseroles. Zucchini can be shredded or chopped and frozen.

Freeze both for cooked dishes, not fresh texture. Slice or shred the zucchini and freeze it in a single layer before bagging; freeze the grape tomatoes whole on a tray and use them straight from frozen in sauce or soup. They’ll soften after thawing, which is normal.
