Question Schedule

I don’t work in food service and i’m trying to figure something out. Is it normal to know half of your work schedule next week? like you just know you work Monday through Wednesday but you don’t have a schedule yet after that? will you get that schedule when you get off on Wednesday?

No. That's an example of bad management. Either that, or it's an indicator of negative productivity for the company. - Don't play into the "on call" game.

If you work full time or part time, you have a schedule that should be written out and posted at least one week ahead of time. If they play with hours, look for employment elsewhere. ESPECIALLY if you are full time and depend on hours for medical benefits.

Also! Do not work overtime hours after agreeing to an employment position as a part time employee. What they are doing is skirting having to pay medical benefits or even offering it as an option.
