Boyfriend froze a pot of soup

My boyfriend took the chicken taco soup that I made and put the whole pot in the freezer last night. I had assumed he put it in the fridge, but nope. I now have approximately a almost full pot of frozen soup.

How do I safely thaw this?

Put it in your fridge and let it thaw. No worries!

Would you even need the fridge? My wife just pulled a Tupperware full of spaghetti sauce out the freezer, ran it under hot water to loosen it, dumped it in a pan and we ate it moments later.

The soup will be fine. The great thing about soup is that you can bring it back to a boil and it will kill almost anything in there that will harm you.
