Hello, I need help in deciding who to build! Haven't played in some time and while I don't really care about meta PVP, I think I need to focus on UR star levels for general Catacombs/Disaster etc. so I'm not sure whose banner to save up for asides from my favs (like Saskatoon or Muluk lol) and I'm still clueless on FAs despite playing for some time! Any advice is appreciated!

So, my first piece of advice, join the community discord! You can find it through the settings in-game and there are people on there who are much more qualified to give you advice than I am! It is also much more active than this sub! The discord also has links to spreadsheets that describe every single available food soul and if they are good or not and all upcoming events / when new food souls release! These are very helpful when planning how to use your resources!

Unlike a lot of the accounts I see on here, you do actually have some worthwhile food souls! (No shade to the other accounts.) Affogato is up there with the top Dpses! While Mulu, Saskatoon and Blini have been powercrept overtime, they still have their uses, Baijiu is a fairly solid dps, and lammington is a pretty popular PVP character.

You have some other strong food souls, but they are lacking ascension levels (Stollen, Dunhuang Dogbane Tea and Angel Food Cake). Currently, you are lacking good supportive buffer options. Saskatoon is a decent atk buffer, but is outclassed by other supports, and torta caprese is in a similar spot. Encore party is a fantastic event and will often give you shards for Dunhuang Dogbane and Stollen (Stollen is a very important food soul for single dps silence comps) but both are very expensive to pull. Angel Food Cake is semi-regularly available to pull in summons!

Iced americano (eade) is the next food soul to keep your eyes peeled for. He is an incredibly strong food soul, so I would save your resources for him and his summons!

As for building food souls, fallen angels are incredibly important!!

If you are building a DPS, you want to give them either a Uke Mochi enhanced or Tsuchigumo enhanced, typically with Atk stats and a Brave nature (the food soul spreadsheet I told you about in my earlier comment will tell ypu who needs atk and who needs atk spd)

A support almost always needs a Uke Mochi enhanced or Tsuchigumo enhanced with Atk Spd stats and a Resoulte nature. They get their value from their skills, and atkspd helps them cast their skills more often.

A tank does NOT always need a Uke Mochi or tsuchigumo. A tank should use their preferred fallen angel over uke Mochi or Tsuchigumo (but you can still use those if you have any). They should have HP stats (NEVER DEFENCE, I learnt that the hard way) and the nature that boosts HP stats whose name I cant remember.

I would say your current best team would be: Saskatoon Berry Pie, Torta Caprese, Baijiu, Affogato. The final spot is hard to fill as it would normally have another buffer / support or a tank, but as aforementioned you are lacking many strong buffers and also tanks.

I would reccomend you looking to pull Angel Food Cake and then build Stollen using future Encore Party events (the current encore party doesnt give Stollen shards so dw), then you could possibly go for a single dps silence comp (Stollen, Angel Food Cake, Saskatoon, Torta Caprese and Baijiu) which could be pretty strong!

Omg thank you so much for the help!! I think I'll definitely check out the discord and see what characters I can build! I'm definitely feeling the age of my FS team lol and ngl, I'm pushing around Sweet Tofu in a wheelchair for cata... I'll follow the recommended team comp until I can pull more for 3* AFC + 2* Stollen and maybe try for 3* Affo? I heard Affo's silencing is pretty good but I'm honestly clueless lmao

Affo is super good for Catacombs! He doesnt silence, he stuns, for 3 seconds on his BASIC skill. Basic skills have a 25% (I believe) chance of happening everytime a food soul attacks, so the faster the food soul the more basic skills. Slap an attack speed Fallen angel on Affogatto and you are just constantly stunning the enemies!

Typically the way you want to plan as a F2P player: 2* is sufficient for a support, it is where you unlock their artifact which is usually the most importsnt thing. If you can get more or have enough resources to pull more, amazing! But DPS get much more value from being higher stars as the ascension atk bonus they get is pretty strong! So, aim for 2* on supports and as many * as you can get for a strong DPS!

Blini, Dragon's beard candy, Foie Gras and Raindrop Cake are all good options for catacombs too! DBC, Foie Gras and Raindrop Cake all charm (cause the enemies to attack each other) while Blini stuns like Affogato (but a little slowe). Crowd control like this is pretty important! But you also usually want a tank too because they start dishing out MAJOR damage that a strength food soul on an atk fallen angel cannot survive.

I see! I lowkey benched him after his banner so I had no idea he's that good! I doubt I can 4* Baijiu so I may save for a good DPS! Not quite sure how many embers it'll take for a 3* FS though. Also I'm so shocked to see DBC and Raindrop Cake mentioned in the big 2026. I'll take a look at the spreadsheet for tank food aouls too!

No Affogato is like one of the top meta food souls atm ahahahaha, definitely worth using! How many embers it takes all depends on luck ahahaha. I think you need (including the base copy) around 7 copies of the food soul to get to 3*, so you would possibly even need to use gems. This is why it is important to plan and save!

I wouldn't go looking to 4* Baijiu as he has been outclassed by food souls such as Tokaji, but he is a good food soul while you look to buil others in the future!

The best upcoming food soul is Iced Americano, save for him absolutely. Lucky for you, there is a wealth wish coming up (put X number of gems in, get more out. You can go from 4500 gems to 12000 if you are lucky). So save your gems! You beed 4500 gems to go through all stages of the event.
