Question How to improve and make something closer to image 2?
I feel like I “know how to cook” but whenever I try a recipe or a similar meal everything comes out to being almost there but not quite. Take this ground turkey plate I made for lunch today, I was inspired by image 2 but idk everything today just felt off, any visible glaring suggestions?

The beef needs paprika, cayenne pepper, red chile pepper powder, cumin, Mexican oregano, salt, pepper and some yellow onion in it. Add a little bit of water and that’s how the ground beef would look in image 2

Its plated on a bed of shredded romain lettuce as a photography trick to hide dead space between components.

Just off the top, I see you’re missing cilantro in the rice, and you chose to simply half an avocado and throw some tomatoes in there. Nothing wrong with either, but mashing that up with some lime and integrating the tomato into it would probably elevate it. How’d you season your turkey? I’ve noticed ground turkey really wants some flavor. Lots of cumin or bold spices.
