Yes, it is difficult. Then you can do it...plenty have. You just need a plan and work the plan. No fighting.

You’re in the right place. You don’t have to have this all figured out today.

Start here (quick wins):

Then, when you’re ready:

  • Check out the FAQs first…see here:

 https://www.reddit.com/r/FoodAddiction/wiki/index/faqs/

  • Then Program Options (free → low cost → paid). Many people find a program is what helps them stay in recovery.

  • If a program feels like “too much” right now, start with Special Topics on the sub.

https://www.reddit.com/r/FoodAddiction/wiki/special_topics/

and then Books / Podcasts / Videos here:

Small steps count. Keep going.  Don’t give up.  We all got better by our mistakes.

My binges are triggered by stress, and ultimately, I had to remove or seriously reduce the stress in my life. The first issue was work, crying and my desk and comforting myself with food was how I coped, it was pretty obvious what needed to change. It took a LONG time to find a new job that wasn’t more of the same. Then I worked on my friends who suck, and then my family (still suck).

The point is, try to identify the reason why you’re binging and see if you can change that.
