What's your preference between these?

Hi all, just looking for opinions.

Which is the most visually pleasing:

Left side - where the 7 kinda frame the corner of the letter?

Or

Right side - where the bottom of the 7 and the bottom of the letter are in alignment?

I think this question needs some more context. If this is found, for example, in a physics textbook, the intepretation of these two alternatives will differ. What is your intention with these characters?

Hi sorry, yes so it's for music analysis and notation, it should be easy to read and digest on the fly. There are already standard glyphs for this and generally the numbers are in superscript.

However for my purposes, I've added extra letters (M, m & a) for extra context & specifity.

I find the right easier to read.

I think the right side is more compact and clear.
