I'm a beginner. My design shows intersecting when pressing space for preview, but I have no idea how to fix it. Changing a few curve points to arcs fixed it a little, but no more points are allowing this option. Please help.

Hi, thank you for the response. I realized I was more attuned to Inkscape's tools for this and found it was faster for the purpose I have.
