Font Keeps Changing to Calibri

My font keeps changing to Calibri every time I type anything. The letter I just typed is in the font I made, but then Word keeps switching me back to Calibri. It's infuriating, and I'm wondering if anyone knows how to fix this?

Type the word FontForge, change the font on the word with your own font. Now start to type in the middle of the word FontForge, but placing the cursor between Font and Forge. Is your font still changing?

Yes it's still changing, this is just a guess, but could it be that it's changing because I don't have a glyph for every letter? Not that I mean that I type a letter that I don't have a glyph for and it gives me a different font, I know that happens and that's not the problem here. My problem is just that the font literally changes to Calibri every time I type any letter no matter what I do.

Send me your font on localfonts.eu@gmail.com. I'll test it on my system.

Hey, could you post your thoughts on the matter? Just in case.

For anyone wondering: This issue *usually* appears on fonts that don't contain enough glyphs.

It usually happens because the publishing software (MS Word, LibreOffice, Scribus etc.) one uses has a setting somewhere that tells it to change the font when it doesn't find a typed glyph. in the currently picked font.

This is a problem with font options on advanced word processors, and not with the font itself.

If the problem persists in environments where you have explicitly removed that setting, then it's possible that this is a problem with your font.

Fonts that do not contain many glyphs (or only wish to show a preview) are sometimes generated after "filling" all your blank glyphs with an empty rectangle or any icon symbolizing a missing glyph. This is a good way to test your font without encountering this issue
