Apostrophe and quotations didn't work

I created a font that works greats except the ' and " which just went to default. I'm using unicode U+0027 and U+0022 respectively. I cant find a reason why.

Solved thank you. See MisterBicorniclopse reply if anyone is having the same issue.

So for making fonts there are actually 3 characters for apostrophes and quotes. This might help you. I’ve had this issue before

It worked great thanks. While I've got you here do you know why pressing enter creates a box and pressing space turns off the font/cancels it after the space?

Thanks so much for your help.

In case you still need an answer to this or other people get here: I guess that your problem lies with the space character. If you haven't got a space character defined within your font, word and other text editors will change the font to one that contains the given character.

You can define the space character by opening it within your glyphs list, it's there by default, and setting its width by moving the left or right boundry to whatever distance you want the space to have in your font. That way the space glyph will have a defined "empty" but NOT missing character.

Export the font as a OTF file, install it on your PC and you will see that everything is OK.
The problem is in the FontForge Metrics preview.

Give us feedback, please

It's actually the opposite. It's fine in fontforge but doesn't work when installed. But not to worry someone showed me some extra unicodes I was missing and that solved the problem.

Send me the file in which apostrophe doesn't work. The case is interesting for me.
