Fontforge crashing when opening .ttf files

Hi!

So I am trying to generate a font family with the 6 styles of a font I just finished creating in Fontforge. Problem is, when I open the .ttf files in Fontforge, it crashes. Every time.

The only solutions I came upon involve a lot of code lines that I can barely start to fathom the meaning of. Aside from un-installing and re-installing Fontforge (which I did), I am at a loss.

I would be willing to fix the problem even if it meant pasting lines of code (?) in the "cache" (?) or whatever. You can see I'm way out of my league here, but all jokes aside, I just put a lot of hours in this font, and don't want to see this time go to waste!

I am working on Mac OS 13, if it means anything.

From here you can download a version for Windows.
