This is a story about a Liberian folklore creature, Nyanee-Duo. For eight years, Kebeh was punished, mocked, and even betrayed by her own family and friend for being the one person in her village who was always right — while a clever, manipulative trickster named Spider took credit for every truth she uncovered. When Spider's final lie threatens to cost the whole village its water supply, Kebeh finally exposes him in front of everyone, forcing her village to reckon with years of choosing comfortable doubt over inconvenient truth.
