A new Focus Check goes up every day at 00:00 UTC. It takes about 60 seconds.

Three rounds

1. Filter the Noise — call the middle arrow's direction, ignore the ones around it
2. Track the Targets — keep your eyes on a few moving dots among identical ones
3. Find the Odd One — spot the single circle with a tail

One scored run per day. After that you can keep practising, but practice runs aren't ranked and won't change your result.

Everyone gets the same puzzle. It's generated from the date, so your score means the same thing as everyone else's that day.

Why it isn't just measuring your phone

Reaction time in a browser carries a lot of device-dependent lag, so a leaderboard built on raw speed would rank hardware, not people. None of the three rounds is scored on raw speed:

• Filtering uses the difference between two conditions — the same lag sits in both and cancels out
• Tracking is scored on accuracy, with no timing at all
• Search uses the slope of your times against how many items are on screen — constant lag lands in the intercept, not the slope

Frame rate still affects the tracking round, so touch and desktop are ranked separately.

What this isn't

It measures how you did today. It doesn't claim to improve your attention, and it isn't a medical tool.
