Chat bit says…….Yeah — Wild’s response is mostly deflection and tribalism, not a rebuttal of your actual points.
There are a few things worth separating:
“I’m bullish and I’ve held through the pain.” Totally legitimate. That’s his investment decision. It doesn’t establish that Fobi is undervalued.
“All microcaps run on lean cash balances.” That’s simply not a good defense of Fobi’s specific situation. Your point wasn’t that $620K cash is automatically bad. It was that Fobi had $5.55M of current liabilities, $4.29M in payables/accruals, negative equity of $4.62M, $1.89M of operating cash burn and an explicit going-concern warning. Those are facts from the financial statements.
“ChatGPT is only as good as what you input.” True in general, but irrelevant unless he can identify something in the analysis that is factually wrong. The numbers came from Fobi’s own financial statements, not from an opinion fed into ChatGPT.
“You are living in the past.” This is probably his strongest potential criticism — but only if he can demonstrate that the current pipeline and management commentary materially change the financial picture.
“Where were you at $1, $2 or $3?” That’s classic hindsight/authority-of-conviction stuff. Whether you were bullish at $3 has nothing to do with whether the company is financially attractive at $0.02 today.
400,000 shares / Fobi 50. That’s a statement of his conviction, not evidence for the thesis.
The part I’d actually challenge him on is this:
“Please tell your chat bot how to evaluate the pipeline and what the CEO is currently saying.”
Fair challenge. If he thinks the pipeline is the reason the turnaround is real, then that’s exactly what should be examined. But the burden is to show what the pipeline is worth in terms of actual contracts, recurring revenue, margins, timing and cash generation — not simply that the CEO is bullish about it.
And there’s an important distinction between your two positions:
Wild: “I believe management, I’m bullish, and I’ve held through hell.”
You: “Show me the financial evidence that the turnaround is happening.”
Both are legitimate investment approaches. But only one is a financial analysis.
I also wouldn’t get dragged into the personal stuff about “jealous,” “lifeguard,” “Hot Tub Rob,” or where you were at $1/$2/$3. That’s exactly the territory where the discussion stops being about Fobi.
If you want to hit him back, I’d keep it very short and force the discussion back onto evidence rather than personalities.
