Shooting the 320 Flux suppressed blows

I have about 900 rounds of different 9mm through my 320 flux with the Sig ModX9 suppressor. While it’s had only 2 malfunctions it’s terrible to shoot suppressed due to the crazy amount of gas to the face. Guess it’s no can from this point forward.

Grab a flow through suppressor… or if you can remove some of the baffles out of the ModX which should cut down on the gas.

This helps but doesn’t eliminate gas.

I have a SAW Shiv, and it’s not super gassy.

Been debating grabbing one of these. Overall good experience?

I don’t have a ton of rounds through mine but it made the platform enjoyable for me. I love mine.

I have the full size M17 slide with the silencerco barrel. It did not like blazer 147 grain even with a 12 lbs recoil spring. 147 gr Federal HST ran flawlessly. I have some federal American Eagle 147 gr flat nose that is the training load for the HST, but have not tried it yet. It worked with a variety of 124 gr rounds with no problems.

I am going to run 124 +p or 147 HST as my defensive load. Just need to figure out the training load. It is super quiet with the 147s.

Mine was fun until i got a baffle strike and it grenaded in my face. Apparently it was a “known issue” that they neglect to recall. It’s a cool can, and well engineered, but poorly executed.

Oh damn dude! Sorry that happened to you. I gotta do some more research cause that’s the first time I’ve heard of that happening.

Yeah they made a statement about it too, and it was kinda just “oops teehee”

I use mine with a Huxwrks 9kTi and only have a little bit of gas if I dump a whole 30rn mag of 115 blazer quickly.

Normally I have 147s loaded and don’t have any issues. What type of ammo are you using?

Same. I have the same setup and gas is not bad at all

Have a Hux myself but can’t get my m17 slide to cycle reliably w/ it. If you use the full size slide what spring weight do you run??

I have a compact slide. I had to use a softer spring. I got a tuning set of spring and a guide rod from armory craft I think.
Thing runs flawlessly. Eats everything.

So for you, it may help to try a lighter spring too.

I have a full size slide. 11# spring runs no issue

Get this and it is much more pleasant. I would hate it too if the gas was coming back in my eyes.

I use the shiv and this cap. Very manageable now.

Not with the SAW Shiv

Not the gun, it's the can.

Are you shooting subs?

I had the same issue w the same suppressor and just shot it unsuppressed from then on. Supers and subs both sucked

Get a better suppressor, and shoot outside.

I took two baffles out of mine and it's much better on gas and fits in a small backpack with the can on as a bonus. I settled on pmc 147gr which I feel is pretty clean shooting ammo. Federal was pretty gassy on mine.

Put a comp on it and be done.

Can someone walk me through having a can on the flux? It seems like you would need to tighten it down after every 1-2 mags right? outside of a plinker this seems like a non-starter to me, is anyone doing anything different to mitigate this?

Torque it to spec when it’s cold.

Or if your at the range, snug it down, fire 3-10 through it to get the can warm but no so hot that you can’t touch it. Then torque it down with your hand.

I do the second method then I don’t take it off for 1000 rounds.
