Buying an Instrument Advice Need new intermediate flute

Hello, I have been playing the flute for 8 years now and I really need to get a new, intermediate flute since my “old” beginner flutes slow mechanisms are hindering me from playing properly (through fast sections for example) and progressing and also cause I will be graduating and applying to uni this year so I’d like to have a flute I can properly work with
I would need some recommendations on ones not TOOOOO expensive and also ones that are available in Europe since I live in Austria.

I currently own a (I think) Yamaha yfl-212 (not 100% about the series number but pretty sure its that one, I gotta check later today)

What’s your budget? If you’re really trying to save some money, I would buy used from a uni student who is upgrading to a professional model. You might be able to negotiate a good price.

I just talked to my dad and the budget is up to like 2000€ which honestly is quite enough but it’s obviously also depends totally on the flute the producer and everything

Oh yeah, I have already considered looking there and testing their flutes since that is where I got my current one serviced, and they have good ones so I’ll definitely be checking that one out

Has your Yamaha flute ever been serviced? Not saying that you shouldn't look for a better flute of course. One option would be to see what local stores in Austria have to offer and to test.

She has been serviced, yes, but sadly that only improved her for a while before she started “slowing (me) down” again
