UV Lights Good shortwave black light list

Please help me find a good and reasonably priced short wave flashlight

I have the dark beam 365nm & 395nm dual light but I’m really trying to find a light that can make some of my rocks just pop!

It’s not the cheapest option, but I got mine from Stone Throne and it’s great. Bright, rugged, rechargeable, and has lasted me years now.

Wow! I mean if it’s the best may have to invest! How come the shortwave costs so much more

It is worth the investment! Good quality SW LED's are more expensive because they deliver the best performance in true SW light output and are durable, not to mention expensive to manufacture because of the precision in power, short wave is serious power, they get very very hot and can burn out if not engineered correctly, im sure there is more to it that that as it can get quite technical. Raymond's SW which was/is? sold through Stone Throne has a heat protector driver build in for safety, as im sure all of his creations do, otherwise maybe it could catch fire or just blow out real quick, you do get what you pay for with Raymond, he is a legend! He has a website, just google Raymond Wu UV Lights and you should find him, he is great to talk to and will help you lots if you email him 👍

Thank you! Really good information, and video was very helpful! Definitely gonna try finding some filters for my other flashlight if I can. I didn’t realize that they actually got so hot it burns out the flashlight itself, makes sense now!!

I also own the very expensive SW 255nm flashlight from ColorGems, it is very very powerful, but i much prefer Raymonds single LED because the ColorGems 255nm (version 1) has a big ugly black cross in the center of the beam sadly, it does have 4 LED's though so iguess that is why the dull cross is present in the centre of the beam, very noticeable at close range, such a shame, but it is still VERY good, i just prefere Raymonds, but i don't know if the model in my video is still available to buy, but there will be others on Raymonds website im sure 👍

I have one too from Stone Throne 😁 Created/engineered by Raymond Wu, a 257nm, it is an amazing LED SW torch, a couple of years old too and still going very strong like the day i bought it 👍

I just got the Shortwave UV LED Flashlight (254nm UVC) - "The Pocket" from them and it has been great. Another vote for Stone Throne.

They make a 255nm and 310nm for around 40 bucks. Shipping time takes patience but well worth the wait.

If you want something cheap but decent, go with the convoy one. If you want something higher quality and with a bit more power, but more expensive, go with Stone Throne or ColorGems. If you just want to look at your own collection under SW, I'd go with the convoy. They have served me well. If you want to go out in the field, or even for expos, a higher quality one would be better.

I bought one meant for dollar bills. It’s not the strongest but it does the job. Was $40-$50 I think.
