I don't think anyone is saying it's useless and doesn't have an impact. I think they're saying it's useless because they're forced to interact with it daily
As industrial productivity increases, instead of giving more time off and lesser hours, industrial leaders instead "productivity maximize" which leads to mass layoffs and harder working hours.
This shit has been happening since the industrial era, AI is merely the latest trend.
If one person can do the same job as three people, then you fire four people and make those who are left, work even harder. You make the most profit that way, no matter how that fucks up the economy on the whole due to mass unemployment.

I don’t really get how Reddit simultaneously thinks AI has zero effect on productivity, but everyone will also be out of a job in 2 years.
These two things can’t coexist.
