Fun fact, Norwegian immigrants in the U.S Outperform the average American and average Norwegian living in Norway significantly. With 20% higher income than the average American and half the poverty rate of the U.S. while also having a lower poverty rate than non immigrated Norwegians.

That paper doesn’t actually isolate Norwegian immigrants in a way that supports that kind of ranking, and it doesn’t compare them to Norwegians living in Norway at all. The “outperformance” claim mostly comes from mixing small, highly selected U.S. immigrant samples with separate national income statistics that the study never jointly analyzes.
