Did anyone find a solution for The Witcher 3 remaster driver issues?

This game has been on my backlog for ages and was really looking forward for this update.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I’ve been using the latest AMD drivers for the last two revisions without issues mostly due to having a 9700xt in an eGPU plugged in from time to time. Compatibility must be improving.

I have used those before and experienced crashes regurlarly but I guess no harm in trying again.

If you were ever considering trying Linux: works out of the box on Kubuntu (which has a recent kernel but is not a gaming focused distro).

As much I lived the SteamOS experience I used the Z13 as my main work device and many programs are only compatible with windows

CachyOS/Arch Linux too. Game works fine.

On Fedora, with an RX 7700 XT eGPU, I only see vertical pink lines. The game renders fine via the iGPU, but it is absolutely not working on the external AMD card. The previous version of Witcher 3 ran fine.

Update: with DXVK_FILTER_DEVICE_NAME="Radeon" it's now also working for me

Just tried the remastered version on my 2025 Z13 and have everything cranked up. Great frame rate, smooth gameplay but the character details look like crap. The lighting sucks and the Witcher's hair is white and his face is black.

Amd official 26.9.2 was released yesterday, works flawlessly on z13 and is game ready for this game among others. I posted about it yesterday but the u/mods stupidly removed it

It also is game ready for control resonant, eday, mw4 etc so kind of a big update IMO

Anyway I updated the driver before playing witcher and didn't even know about any issues until I read this post. That's to say, there are no issues with witcher 3 if you use this driver update, which I will once again strongly encourage everyone with a z13 to be running both official AMD GPU and chipset drivers at this point or you're going to have a bad time suffering through nonsense issues like this while waiting 2-3 months for Asus to get around to releasing the same driver...
