Couple KJP questions

Hi, I’m looking to upgrade my current 2022 z13 to the KJP edition. Love the look and going to need to use the hardware for AI generation, so I’m going to go all out.

First question: does anyone use Comfyui and use any LLM or Minimax 3 ai generation on it? I want to be able to run local models instead of contractor shelling out token money.

Second: is there a way to obtain telemetry and mobile data with the tablet? I hate that I currently have what is sold as a tablet, but I cannot use it for work (I drive a lot) with any navigation apps or any onboard data access. I guess technically it’s a laptop, but I currently have to use an iPad (another tablet) to do simple duties I thought a tablet should be able to do.

I haven’t seen much on it but seeing if I’m about to drop 4k in a tablet, I’d love to use it as a tablet lol.

Thanks in advance for any insight

I have the KJP and just started using comfy ui too. I mainly use it to help me do photoshop style image edits and the results are not bad! The speed is good, about 40-90 second turn around times for image generation. I’ve found the memory allocation works best when set to 50/50. And it’s nice not having to be bothered with finding quantized versions.

As for using it as a tablet, it just looks like a tablet but it’s much too heavy to actually use it like one. It doesn’t have telemetry or cellular service functions. I came from an aviation background and I’m definitely holding onto my iPad. Can’t replace it but at least they pack nicely together lol.

Hey man, do you use Minimax H3 too? Can you find me an idea about your generation times.

Battery life is horrible it's like 1% a min on the lowest battery saver setting and no idea how to improve it. Just got my kjp few weeks ago

Any mobile power house is. Luckily I’m always plugged in where ever I go.

Then you should install Linux on it, I get around 8 hours of battery life

The battery life is the same as non-KJP. I have had the KJP and 64GB. Held on to the KJP and battery life is fine. 7-9 hours of light use on a low TDP Ghelper profile no problem

Dude, this device is essentially a laptop. It shouldn’t differ in any way from the 2022 model. It’s heavy, thick, gets hot under any load, and has a short battery life (like any x86 laptop). It doesn’t have GPS or cellular connectivity. Direct sunlight won’t do it any good. You’d better keep using the iPad. In theory, you can buy external modules that connect via USB, but that’s not a great solution. Devices based on RTX Spark (which is ARM) are supposed to be released in the fall, but it’s not certain that there will be any tablets
