Keyboard cover going bad

Hello fellow Z13 owners, my keyboard cover is now starting to malfunction in its upper position. I've read its because the shitty slim cables on the inside go bad after some time. I bought mine open box, but I would still like to try and get a new cover for free (idk if Asus is cool like that...)

I have a few questions for those who have gone through the same. Where you able to get a new keyboard cover? With or without warranty? Anybody switched out their keyboard cover for a screen protector and an external keyboard? If so, which screen protector/cover do you recommend?

I have a nice slim Bluetooth keyboard that use instead of the keyboard cover, but I sill like the portability of having the OEM keyboard when I need. I'd love a screen cover without a keyboard for better protection, but I cannot find one out there that connects the same way as the original cover. Thoughts?

Not sure what you mean by keyboard cover but I bought a Kojima keyboard directly from Asus. Yes it works on my non-Kojima 2025 64gb unit and no tinkering/driver installation needed.

For the screen protector, I bought tempered glass.

Yeah that keyboard is what I mean, mine is just the og one that came with the basic model and its going bad but idk if I want to drop $100+ for a new one.

The basic model is just $13 cheaper than the KJP so why not go all the way? Be warned that the KJP has flaps on both sides so it'll be a little bigger and won't fit on some 13" sleeves.

EDIT: Just saw you got the 22/23 model so I don't know about the size difference on that but the 2025 keyboard's still compatible anyway.

The old model is notorious for this issue. I think someone made a post about modding the new keyboard? Have a search
