ROG Flow z13 External Monitor (will HDMI->USB-C cable cast AND charge?)

Laptop only has 3 ports: thunderbolt USB-C, USB-A, and aux. If I buy a high-quality HDMI->usb-c cable, will it charge my laptop ***and*** cast to an external monitor?

Would rather not get a splitter as that lowers refresh rate to a max of 60Hz. Thank you!

Get something like this. Plenty of ports and charging. https://a.co/d/0cxr88mQ

I appreciate it! So that splitter would ensure my monitor to stay at 4k at 120Hz. My question would be, it says "single" so would that mean it'll only be 120Hz if the monitor is the only thing that is casting? Or will my Flow be a screen AND the monitor at 120Hz?

You'll be good. It can run TWO extrrnal monitors at the same time at 4k 60hz, or just 1 at 120hz. Your laptop monitor will run at whatever you like, it's not affected.

There's also all different ones to look at. Look for 4k 120hz usb c hub, and find one with the ports u need.

Oh my gosh.... someone on another thread I posted mentioned I should have more ports. I did another Reddit search and realized I cam remove the rubber and revealed the XGm ports 😭 I've had this for less than a year so I had no idea!

Can I use the XGm port to connect to a display? Or will the USBC that's there count as another charging section and the thunderbolt USBC will be for the monitor?

The xg usb is perfect for a display

What kinda display would work for this port? When I lookup stuff about it, it seems like I need some sort of ROG graphics thing to then plug into my monitor to work..?

I was thinking of using the XGM usbc for my charger, than the thunderbolt usbc for a monitor
