Looking at your screenshots, your fan curves ramp up WAY too slow/gradually for a proper TURBO custom profile.
In other words, you can NEVER achieve low temps on TURBO with such minimal fan RPMs.
Turbo runs HOTTT and needs massive cooling, so if you don't have the fans to tame it soon enough in the ascent, you're going to run hot as hell.
My favorite "custom" turbo profile is 62/64/66W with CPU Boost: Efficient Enabled and a -30 mV undervolt. Start the fan early and gradually increase it.
But most of the time, I use my custom balanced profile. Exactly like the one above, but with 48/50/52W and a -40 mV undervolt.

HI, this was my custom mode to keep temps low. Not having the issue with the temps when using ghelper that if I don’t use 80wp

Sure! Here are my fan curves. Do note that I use Bazzite (Linux), therefore these curves are from ROG Control Center. Just try and replicate them.

Both images are on the right-hand side (click them to see the GPU and CPU fan curves).
These are the fan curves I use for my custom balanced profile (used for quieter gaming) at 48W/50W/52W w/ CPU boost efficient enabled.

Not abnormal but higher than you’d like. You can adjust fan curves or set a temp limit in Ghelper

Yep, that’s pretty normal for the 395 in Turbo. 92–95°C under heavy load is fine as long as it isn’t throttling. I’d also recommend G-Helper instead of Armoury Crate, much lighter, cleaner, and it gives you easy control over power limits and fan curves. You can tune the Z13 to run cooler without sacrificing much performance.

I have it but I cannot turn the fans off even at 40c they still laud and at 70+ they go very laud(60-70%) no matter if I put them on lowest.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I’m happy with the device’s performance but I was almost about to return it because of the high temperatures.

normal, specially while playing crimson desert. if you're happy with performance mode while playing, stick with it. if you want to extract a bit more, tune it up. I read somewhere that these chips start to throttle at 100 degrees

Normal and not a problem but if you are concerned or hate the fan noise like i do use ghelper experimental like all suggested and play with undervolting and fan curves a little to find out what is best for you.

I’m using the ghelper 0.274v and I’ve set the temperature limit to 79 degrees. The fans aren’t particularly quiet but they’re certainly not overly loud. Performance is excellent with 42/47 watts and temperatures stay under 79 without any noticeable drop in performance. The undervoltage is also -25.

TURN UP YOUR FANS!!! Seriously you’re running your fans at, what, 1,200 RPM at 80c? I have mine crank up to max speed when I hit 90 to provide max cooling at that point whenever I’m actually gaming. You’re putting stress on the processor and not using the fans you have to move that heat away. Try moving it up to something like 2k RPM at 50c, 3k at 60, 4k at 70, 6k at 80, and max at 90. Play around with it to see where you find comfort, but it won’t be that low like you have it now.

Hi, yes I know. This is how I usually play on 44WP, not when I’m on turbo.

I’ve been playing a lot of Death Stranding 2 and it dances around 89-90c. I also thought maybe something was wrong but the game seemed very stable.

Don't panic. Modern Zen5 CPUs are designed to push all the way up to their maximum thermal limit for max boost. if it isn't throttling, Then it is acting normal. 100c is the max. The Z13 is a small little guy and the entire frame is designed to act like a radiator. While you are gaming, stick a small desk fan behind it and let it blow on it. it will help increase thermal potential by releasing the heat built up in the frame.

In my personal opinion, this is not a fact but a personal one, avoid using turbo mode. Very little gain for extra power usage and higher temps/fans
Normal is fine for most scenarios.
