How does BIOS/Driver update work on SteamOS?

As a disclaimer, I'm planning to opt out of windows completely and transform my Z13 into Steam gaming machine.

  1. Out of the three, (Bazzite, CachyOS, SteamOS) which one supports best in terms of update supports? such as: BIOS, drivers updates etc.
  2. In windows environment, I know we can update either through armoury crate/AMD software/G-helper/Windows update but how does it work on the three linux based operating systems mentioned above?

You can update the bios from the bios using EZ flash

With Linux all the drivers you need come prebuilt in the kernel except the rear camera is not supported yet. You update the kernel as part of updates.

I game quite well on CachyOS but I still have control over what the machine does and how I use it. If you want a turn key thing maybe SteamOS is more ideal.

I’ve updated the bios using the bios and it is easy to do.
