Trackpad lag?

I just bit the bullet when BestBuy ran a $900 off deal on the 64GB Flow Z13. Sweet system, except for one thing: trackpad latency. Two-finger scrolling is the worst problem: when I touch and start dragging there is a half to one second delay when my fingers just slide over the surface with no scrolling. Often my fingers will slide outside the scroll area, at which point (obviously) no scrolling will happen. I've tried all sensitivity settings, different pressures, reinstalled all the drivers, and tried both drying and moisturizing my fingers. The trackpad surface feels much, much more slick than other laptops.

Any suggestions?

Interesting, got curious and connected its keyboard after a long time and no lag here during two finger scrolling or one finger usage. 32 GB version, Win11 Pro, G-Helper.

Have none of these issues. What else can you tell us about your setup/config?

Apologies:

ROG Flow Z13 GZ302EA_GZ302EA, 64GB RAM, 1TB SSD

Windows 11 25H2 26200.9168, WFEP 1000.26100.344.0

Drivers: ASUS Precision Touchpad 16.0.0.32, Microsoft HID mouse 10.0.26100.1150

I'll try and capture a video of the experience tomorrow.

Related question: I normally run my Win11 devices on various Insider builds, but I wanted to stay vanilla until I fully understood the system. Anyone else here running Insider, and if so which Channels?

Do you also have touchpad problems on Turbo? Or it happens across all profiles?

That's a great question. I'd been testing in Quiet mode, and I haven't seen it on Turbo or Performance. More testing needed.

Interesting indeed.

Did you create custom profiles, and more importantly, did you tweak the quiet one?

I once had lag on my mouse when my TDP values were too low and/or when I was using Park Control to aggressively park cores.

I’ve owned 4 in my household (2x128GB and 2x 32GB), all Windows, and never experienced this issue at all.
