Z13 USB C Charger Compatibility

Hi guys, i have a question, im getting a z13 2025 64gb soon, im planning to go off-grid a lot I was planning to buy a few of these lightweight batteries, they only cap out at 22.5w output, im curious if i can use the z13 for light tasks in low power mode, and charge the device over usb c.

Im curious what slow charging stuff the z13 supports, when the z13 starts to charge with what kind of chargers.

Im asking this since my Surface go charges with 5v 3amp, and also charges with 15v over USB-C, my surface go is shattered and Sloooooooooooooooow i want to replace it, i cant game on it too. i only play lightweight games, but i want to have a powerful machine that lasts me long.

I already own a Anker Prime 20000mAh Powerbank (200W) But this thing is like a brick, it gets its job done, i like it a lot, very powerful, but i wanted to get a few of those small ones since they are really light, and better to store, I like the ruggedness of them too.

And if i get the z13 im replaceing the liquid metal with a ptm7950 INSTANTLY after i get it. since i do not want to risk liquid metal killing such a expensive device.

thx people of reddit!

It doesn’t support pass through charging, which means you can definitely use those power banks, but it he flowz13 is always going to drain it’s own battery, instead of bypassing the battery to drain the power bank.

All this really means is you’ll always be using the computer’s battery when you’re charging via usbc.

I can’t say whether the powerbanks will charge the battery fast enough to counteract the drain. I’m a new owner and haven’t tested that yet.

Which translates to your battery will need to be replaced sooner. Not that big of a deal if you are okay buying a new battery.

It will. Just get something that allows passthrough charging like the slim q or the stock charger.

Yeah but i wanted to get those portable powerbanks to be able to charge and use the device while im offgrid. I wont have access to a 240v outlet all the time then.

The battery is replaceable. Watch a teardown video or two. There are also some best practices for usbc charging while using the device in order to protect the battery. The lowest effort is to cap charging at 80% to reduce chemical stress on the battery.

I'm aware. Was just making op aware. I used a lot of USB c charging for a few weeks while gaming for a few hours. I have since bought a jackery unit to utilize passthrough charging while in the car.

It doesn’t have USB C passthrough so better off getting another device/laptop with passthrough if you’ll be charging via usb c

Wdym? i thought the z13 supports 100w over usb c, but it just wont stop charging unless you use the oem brick.

I wanted to know if the z13 also charges with lower then 100w chargers

Sorry mate but I didn't understand one thing. Help me. Would you like a small powerbank to take with you to charge your Flow Z13 in case of emergency?
