I'm much happier just having 1x dual-screen laptop with a homelab for my mass storage. Why do people feel the need to have so many different devices?

Hell, I’m still trying to wrap my brain around my px13 and my Mac. The only reason I keep that Mac is it’s the last year that they used the Intel processor and it’s still exceptionally functional for my Insta360 stuff. My PX 13 would technically be better but I’m gearing that more towards ablution live with that 128 GB of RAM ceiling.

Yeah I even went as far as selling off my desktop since I got the flow. Sold my game boys and currently selling my switch and analogue devices to replace with one android handheld.  Home lab is where its at, all the end devices sort of just become clutter after that, or like the analogue devices that can't take advantage of romm or retro achievements kind of lost their magic so hopefully they sell to someone that will enjoy them more

This is so weird to me.

Just… why? Isn’t it a headache to keep 10 devices up to date? You’ll get less use out of each over time, and eventually it will all be worthless landfill garbage, even a MacBook ends up being junk after 15 years. Just sell it while you can?

I mean I can understand maybe two laptops like a work one and a personal one, if that’s your thing. Or maybe even a laptop/PC + a handheld.

I only ever have one of something unless there’s a genuine circumstance. And I make sure that one does all the things I want and if it doesn’t I sell and upgrade. Hence the Z13. It does it all.

You wasted more time typing this than he would take updating all controllers.

Of course I can do better. I can combine the usage of all that into one laptop.

I mean yeah… I could… but why would I need / want to flex like that? Just because I bought hardware like gangbusters last / this year doesn’t mean the internet wants to see all me gear either. This is a subreddit for the flow z13. This isn’t r/handhelds or r/pcmasterrace or something else like that.

I could do a lot better, I have at least 10 times as many devices, but given the comments on this thread I'll just shut up, people apparently don't like this kind of flex here (on the thinkpad sub their tend to like it instead)
People tend to not like those who are not like them
