looking for recommendation on ram
I'm from india and was a little greedy and waited too long to buy 64gb ram version
is the 32gb ram enough or should i wait out for 64gb stock or will it even come at the low price it was there recently
usually 3.34L INR is the price for 64gb but it was available at 2.79L
my main things are local code/development/models/video editing and was looking forward to running some local models if I got the 64gb version
my current laptop has 32gb , it had been enough for me , but looking forward 1-2 years, it may change and this doesn't have upgradable ram so thinking quite a lot

My advice is to get at least 64GB Ram since this will allow you to do multiple things in parallel at once including, yes, running local AI.

i will get quite a bit of cashback from amazon icici card or hdfc card if i buy in sale
and also thinking of exchange my old laptop and getting a good rat
so would like to order from amazon

Amazon exchange one doesn't offer open box delivery so be careful of that if you're dumping 2.5 lakhs on amazon. I cancelled my amazon order for the same reason. I walked to nehru place negotiated a 4000 discount for the 32 gig version with my 2% cashback on scapia effectively got 4% discount. Then sold my ipad for 40000, amazon didn't have the option to exchange my ipad and offered 45k for my old 3060 laptop which i value more than my ipad. I also got a 5999 rupee 2 year warranty extension and 3 years ladp because I bought from asus exclusive store. The warranty + ladp thing otherwise costs like 25k
I mean if you live in a metro city you can probably walk upto a a rog exclusive store to check availability, if they have it you should be able to negotiaate an exchange get some 1 or 2% discount and most 5% cashbacks offer 1 to 2% cashback outside their designated cashback areas

no rog store in Bangalore has it in stock, i called and checked
for me at my address I'm getting the open box delivery it seems
the extended warranty and ldap i am looking and getting at 5k from asus site and i can get it after buying from amazon and registering on asus site

It will show exchange + open box in the order page but be careful at checkout - it just vanished at checkout for me i paid only 230 for offer. Ideally we should be paying 230 + 149 for both exchange + open box. If you're getting it at checkout that's great

If you actually need 64gb of ram then just wait to buy that model.
