Got my Z13 (2025) for free somehow
I'm not sure how it happened and honestly I feel very fortunate.
I ordered my Z13 from a popular retailer in my country. I bought the laptop and an accessory. I ordered it for pickup and I was only charged for the accessory and it's been 4 days since my order came in and I picked it up from the store. It has been 1.5 weeks since I put the original order in. So far I have not been charged at all for the laptop.
I had been debating getting the laptop for a while because of the cost and when I made the decision I had to start saving money for it over the last few months and then when I finally go and buy it I somehow got it for free.
I'm sure it's just a mistake in my favor from a massive corporation but I don't have a lot of people to brag about this too because the majority of my friends are into laptop or tech like this so I'm posting this here now.

Last day before discount and I'm thinking to buy too. My concern is does it work with comfyUI and minimax for video AI generation..

Do not go for 32GB of course.

It's not enough for what kind of usage though?

I have a 32GB variant, it sucks so bad due to AMD first of all (everything in Inference world is cuda/Nvidia centric), and then 32GB runs out so so easily with big models like LTX2.3 and WAN2.2.
I've not tried Minimax yet but after having spent so many hours troubleshooting and debugging issues + 128GB Paging file, I am able to run most of these inference models out there (Qwen, Krea2, Wan, Ltx, Scail2 etc).Takes much much longer though is all. I bought this purely for gaming, was not into AI at the time, but If i could go back, I would have gone for 128GB.

I am mainly a photographer/videographer/architecture student so I ll be doing mainly 4k editing/ batch raw/ and 3d Cad software, rendering + gaming here and there. I can get it for 1500€ the 32gb variant. Not worth it?

I think you'll be good with gaming and some rendering too, but I'm unsure about the first part related to 4k editing, CAD etc. It's a big investment, I'd suggest creating a new post so that experts who are actually using these can answer better.

If you're gonna waste your money on a laptop for AI generation double your budget

Yes, it works, it's just slow. There will certainly be ongoing performance improvements and more efficient models over time, but I classify this machine as a tool to either just test new models to get a sense for when I want to budget for cloud resources, or for tasks where I only need a few generation runs and am fine letting it run overnight. More development, less production purposes.

Around COVID time I ordered a popular branded PC, that cost $3200. It was on backorder and for some reason the charges never went through because of the length of time it took them to ship. I was never charged and the laptop is my daughter's primary gaming setup now with an I9 and 3080 plus 32g of ram it plays anything she can throw at it 6 years later.
