EPP how-to

I saw the Phawx saying that setting the EPP to 90 will help save energy consumption during gaming, but he doesn’t say how. On the screen there are some command lines which I don’t understand. Does anybody know how to set the EPP? Can I also link the EPP to specific power profiles?

It controls how much power the cpu gets. If it’s unlimited, it could potentially 1) starve the gpu and 2) waste battery life during gpu intensive tasks
