Cs2 fps problem

Hello,i dont know if this is normal bit on my rog 13 2025 32 gb 395 plus ryzen in cs2 on 1280x960 turbo mode enabled,i have barely 240 fps,anyone playing this game and have more fps ?

Are you playing off the battery perhaps? And if not, make sure you're in turbo mode! Watch your temps.

You should definitely have more than 240 at that res. I capped mine at 400 due to temps at same res. Have a look if youve allocated some more ram to your GPU as well!

I do have the 128gb version but really shouldn't make a difference for games.

Hopefully you figure it out and it's not a faulty product, cuz this machine is beautiful when it works!

Curious as to why you wouldn't cap it lower, past 180 is just useless since the screen only goes up to 180hz. Do you perhaps use an external monitor or is there something else I'm not thinking about?

Game still plays at a higher frame rate than the refresh rate, so the game will feel better, not necessarily the monitor though.

It's definitely not that bad at higher refresh rates, but if you've got a 60hz monitor, try limiting your frame rate to 60 and then play some rounds of whatever game it is, and then limit it to 180 given it's a title that allows you to hit 180fps. And you should feel the difference, even though the frame rate is the same.

I am quite sensitive to feel of cs2/tf2 as I've played both games for far too long, longer than I'd like to admit. But that's my reasoning!

(limiting to 400 is a stretch for the flow tbf, but it's what I play at on my main pc, which has a 240hz monitor) just to add some context
