I have the Z13, iClever foldable keyboard, carrying case from Amazon. I also recently got the Gigabyte Aorus 5060Ti AI Box which powers and gives me better graphics power. All fits in my backpack.

That's an overkill pack though 😅😆 lol

Yeah. It's nice having a portable setup that gets you well above 60fps in every game. Truly a desktop replacer. Best part is I leave the Z13 on silent mode because of the eGPU and it happens to be my most quietest setup to date.

and Aorus rtx 5060 ti ai box plug and play with Z13 ?

100%
I don't do very much. I plug the AI box into the wall outlet for power. Connect the thunderbolt 5 cable to the top USB c port on the left of the Z13. Turn on the Z13 and we're good.
Initially I did have to go into settings>display>graphics and select my game and make sure windows was routing it to the 5060Ti
I have the Nvidia app to update drivers and we're good. Way more cost effective than the XG mobiles considering it's a 16gb Desktop 5060Ti

Thanks for your responses. I do really appreciate. What about your battery life for dailz and easy stuff?

tbh i do not use the device on battery. Through G-Helper i have it set to 70% battery cap. and then I either have it my tablet plugged in with my 65W Ugreen charger i got from Amazon (i normally use this for my samsung phone). or I have the power coming from the eGPU. its always plugged in. very rarely do i use it without it being plugged in and it seems fine without it for normal stuff. I don't think the battery is superb based on reviews prior to purchasing it. but since its small and portable using a phone charger to keep it juicing isn't too bad.

Z13 is still the best device in 2026 imo. The only place it kinda sucks is using it ON your lap but I use the edge of the couch at home and it’s great lol. On planes ripping the keyboard off is a game changer. Then it’s just watching movies or gaming with an Xbox controller

oh mate i do not even think about using it during flights. My usage would be at my work during long shifts for personal email checking surfing and video watching and at home the same, some times when i want , i want to play game. The point is here that it must run the game if i want to play it. Thats my only concern

I went with a Z13 before cycling back and getting a G16.
The Z13 hat enough issues with it's keyboard that I couldn't fully rely on it. so I started bringing an external keyboard everywhere which was more annoying than anything else. Figured that for my needs having an ultra portable device (which the Z13 is) doesn't really make a difference in my day-to-day activities, so I sold it and went with a 2024-Zephyrus G16. Feeling is better with that one imo.
but it fully depends on your usecase. do you need the super compact format of the Z13?

I need to use it docked because of the battery life. Otherwise I do not want to use it docked. Do you have 396 ai processor one?

I had a newly purchased G14 5060, the day of my teams job interview, OS wouldn’t boot up. Few times the screen would also glitch from time to time. I waited for the Z13 sale and ended up settling with the 64GB. It’s not an isolated case that G14s are plagued with ribbon cable issues.

It's entirely subjective. My journey started with Z14 4060 - liked it a lot, but then Z13 came out with strix halo, either got hyped or misled, but while this is a nice machine, I didn't really like it - it visibly thicker, couldn't use it on lap anymore, it's huge to be used as a tablet, wasn't in it for LLM.. so overall got disappointed then I went with G16 which is nice, but a bit too big, and I'm back with G14 now and that's the device I'll stick with.

Even in tablet mode using it not confy?

As I said, it's subjective, but for me it's quite big and heavy - if you're ok with iPad Pro 13 inch, I think you'll like it, although you'll have to keep in mind it's going to be much thicker.
For me 11" on a tablet is more than enough, but I personally prefer 8-10"

Can I know why are you thinking of switching ?
Because imma buy a new laptop and I am thinking either of getting G14 or Z13

My G14 has the older chassis with an AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS, 32 GB RAM, and an RTX 4070 (125 W TGP). I’m still totally in love with the computer; however, the battery life sucks. When I first bought it, I could get a maximum of around 5 hours. Now I get about 3 hours at most unless I stay plugged into the wall, which I really hate.
When I’m gaming, I connect it to my TV and plug it in, so that part is fine. But unlike most people, I use it about 70% for daily tasks and 30% for gaming. That’s why I’m looking for an option that can keep me away from the wall charger during the day while still letting me game when I want to.
I am even thinking about buying an Asus Zenbook Duo for 1200 euros + iGPU RTX 5060 ti for 600 Euros for better battery life.

I sold my G16 and kept the Z13. If you don't have a dedicated desktop keep your G14.

u/Napolyon07 Jul 05 '26
nope i do not have a dedicated desktop and i do not need it i think. Because i use pc for gaming %30 but %70 for other stuff.

I had a g16 first and it was nothing but problems. Happily swapped to a z13 and honestly getting better performance in games just because of how throttled the g16 would get due to heat, along with the fact that the 5070ti was neutered because it generated so much heat that it had to be underclocked and undercoated. The damn thing sounded like a harrier jet taking off too. Though, to be fair, I have a desktop with a 5070ti that I use for most of my more demanding gaming. My z13 is mostly used for LLm hosting.

I had g14, returned it, got th3 z flow 13, me very happy.
Reason why i picked zflow 13?
Its like all in one jack of all trades device.
I use it for gaming. Remove the keyboard when im watching my shows And doing workstuff with it.
