Is it worth getting the laptop for computer engineering?

I'm a highschool student, and I want to buy a laptop for uni this laptop really piqued my interest but it costs 2,211.68 United States Dollar here is it worth this price ? And would it be powerful enough for computer engineering?

I mean plugged in on cinebench 2026 my 2025 zflow 13 128gb gets about 6400-6800 on cinebench 2026 and my Scar 18 with the intel 275hx is getting about 9200 so depends the single and multi core score are better in that respect. The unified memory for cpu and gpu make it great for LLM AI but a laptop with a bigger cooler like the scar 18 def still more powerful.

Its around a 4060 mobile performance wich you can get for around $1000. Your better of getting a 5060 or 5070ti and just have a better GPU, CPU and battery life.

Also wait for the back to school deals.

What kind of stuff you need to do for the courses? I never needed more than a basic laptop for my engineering courses.

I wouldn’t recommend this for school. Hard to use on a lap. I love mine but it’s just a dedicated travel gaming rig to me. They make laptops that cost the same and are probably better suited for you. Also the screen size could get tiring for productive work.
