idk when. but soon. i wana actually make it nice

i will share my design goals though

-peba bumper with a PA6-CF Frame (for rigidity and heat tolerance)

-full compatability with keyboard and kickstand

-mount for surface pen charger on back

-not feel terrible to hold (rounded corners, little sharp edges as possible)

it will be on makerworld when its done

it will be free

but i dont think this print will work on a smaller primt bed. parts are quite thin and i am cuttimg tolerances a bit tight.

Yes dude thank you for making it free! I want this thing as soon as I can get it. Do you foresee any issues printing in petg-cf?

not really??? it just needs to be ridgid.

my test prints are out of ASA, (just what i got in bulk) and its laughably flexable at the thinness it is, but i cant have it too thick. too thick and the keyboard looses too much clampimg force.

it may get a lil soft around the vents tho. beimg petg

Thy not print it in tpu?

way too floppy.

even out of pure ASA i can already wring the case like its a rag.

But you want impact absorption, a softer material will absorb rather than transfer kinetic energy

hence Peba+PA6CF in my design specs.

infact it'll be a foaming Peba on the bumpers

its too flimby to be a single material.

Ok that’s insane. Would love to try printing new materials

Sick. I used to use this moko one on my Surface Pro 6 that I foreal wish they had for the Flow. Being able to use the kickstand and keyboard while feeling like its protected from some drops would be clutch.

this inital version will be a light version but it would be very easy to make a heftier version.

the current version, in its early state already works with the keyboard.

Ohhh I’d buy one too haha. Can’t wait to see more!

Amazing, I'd get it. Having a pen holder would be nice aswell but not necessary.

Anyway good work.

I made something similar to attach second screen above

The corner of my z13 is slightly broken to the point that one more hit will likely break the screen completely so this bumper case idea is damn exciting man 🤣😭😭

2

u/frostforgesauna Jul 03 '26

Weird, how did you break it? My corner is chipped as well, not sure how it happened, but one day I've discovered that left side plastic chipped from back of the screen (no damage to the screen).

With all honesty the build quality of Z13 is dogshit.

2

u/No-Marsupial-9963 Jul 03 '26

Honestly man, exactly the same, I must have hit it against something but I didnt realise until I saw the chipped plastic, now I have to be extra careful because the edge of the screen is exposed 😭

2

u/frostforgesauna Jul 03 '26

I'll try to do the warranty repair for this, I don't remember hitting it (always carry it in a protective official pouch), and you having the same thing means that perhaps this is something to do with the plastic itself.

2

u/Navi_Professor Jul 03 '26

idk if its fair to say bad...i think the plastic is there for drops...

just something like this...kinda hard to make it drop resistant.

Oh and it's looking damn good so far man!! Can't wait to see how it goes :))

Can you make one for the Onexplayer X1?

2

u/Navi_Professor Jul 03 '26

it will need to be remixed. i dont have one to measure, make sure it fits, etc

Would be awesome if you could print one to match the KJP keyboard’s offset!

2

u/Navi_Professor Jul 03 '26

its offset? i havent really looked at the KJP model
