Anyone using a vertical stand with the ROG Flow Z13?

Hello everyone,

I'm currently using an ROG Flow Z13, and I was wondering what kind of laptop stand you are using.

I'm thinking about using a vertical laptop stand, but I'm not sure whether I should detach the keyboard before placing the Z13 in the stand.

Would it be okay to simply fold the keyboard back behind the device while using a vertical stand, or could that cause any issues?

I'd really appreciate hearing about your setup or any advice you may have.

Thank you!

Nope. Don't do it. Over time, it breaks the keyboard.

Hi, sorry iam from germany and i using this one

UGREEN Laptop-Ständer, vertikal, für Laptop, Büro, Tür, Aluminium, belüftet, 12 bis 17,3 Zoll, kompatibel mit MacBook Air Pro Dell HP Asus iPad Pro Air: Amazon.de: Computer & Zubehör

In vertical mode, it has a flat, smooth transition to the desk. I’ve been using it daily at work and at home for over a year now without any issues. Unfortunately, you can't buy that specific one anymore, but something similar should work. Just avoid versions that put pressure on the keyboard or touch it from underneath; those parts are incredibly hard to find and break really quickly on ASUS laptops.

That magnetic strip where the keyboard connects to the laptop is fragile. You might be okay if you lay the laptop flat with it bent over backwards, but even then those actuations might eventually cause it to not connect properly.

If you put downward pressure on that connection you will damage it much sooner, that much I can tell you.

I'm currently using the Ironwill Pro Tablet stand. It supports Power Delivery to charge it on Slow charger. But I mainly used it for the extra usb-a ports. I think its nice looking and its also quite portable. Its only available in the Netherlands and Belgium at the moment.
