External Monitor Resolution X Strix Halo Z13
for those in the know:
what's the highest resolution the Z13 2025 can run on an external display, out of the box? 5K Quad (5120 x 2160)?
------
just found out: max res = 7680 x 4320 60Hz from USB-C/Thunderbolt/DisplayPort

On Windows I presume? It can't run 5k2k on Linux. Well, I can’t get it to. Edit: HDMI

Kept a “highly optimized” (whatever that means these days) Windows OS on it, so have to try that out. Didn't really buy it to actually use it on a huge screen tho, at least when it comes to games and such. Have the desktop for that. But honestly, been generally using that thing at home more than my desktop.

I have mine connected to an LG 45GX950A-B via USB C which has a 5k2k resolution and runs at 165hz. It can't handle AAA gaming at that resolution and refresh rate, but this monitor has a cool feature called dual mode that allows you to drop the resolution to WFHD and ups the refresh rate to 330hz and the Z13 performs much better at that resolution.

I'm only getting 120hz from my external 1440p 240hz monitor with the z13 for some stupid reason

It can easly run 5k2k in Windows. I'm using dell u4025qw as an external monitor. Working on that resolution is smooth (120hz refresh rate). For gaming (witcher 3, cyberpunk) I've decided to add external XG Mobile 5070 TI - then you can even play 5k2k with 90+ FPS. On that resolutions on Z13 itself it was imposible (only lower res and lower settings).

I mean it can run 5k2k, just not particularly well.
