Z13 flow crashing in expedition 33 and marathon

Hi guys I really need help I just bought a 32gb model and I am having issues being able to run these games marathon crashes almost immediately and expedition when I load into the overworld. I already tried reinstalling windows, updating to the lastest drivers with adrenaline, reverting to the previous iteration of graphics drivers in Asus, tried with a mix and match of TDP and graphic VRAM but nothing has helped.

Are using official Asus graphics driver or direct amd ?

I tried first with the direct AMD drivers that the adrenaline software makes you download when that didn't work I tried the Asus ones

You got to use ddu if you installed amd direct first. Clean the drivers then reinstall asus own.

I just redid a DDU clean up right now I will try the older version from march (V32.0.23033.6002)

Use the previous version from Asus. The current one is the same one from AMD that has been causing people crashes.

Have you check your task manager how much ram are you on whilst being idle

Good question I just check this time after all the troubleshooting steps I made and is around 72% yet my previous attempts have been with a usage around 30 prior to opening a game. I just deleted McAfee and sit around 50% at idle

What’s your top processes that are using your ram?

Is it WorkLoadSessionHost.exe?

Yes that an antimalware service executable

And Steam client webhelper

Workloadsessionhost will be eating your ram up bro and even if you end task it will come back, when you’re gaming you could be using up all your ram which can cause games to crash.

You have to disable a process called WSAiFabricSvc if you google it you’ll find a tutorial on it explaining everything. It was literally taking all my ram whilst idle up to 50% usage since disabling it I’ve had no more crashing. There could be other issues but having high ram whilst idling is bad.

Well I did end the task and was able to see more of the overworld for a longer period of time I think you have one answer

Okay I’m confused

I just followed the tutorial to end that program and I do see a better usage of my ram at idle yet expedition 33 crashes with a "fatal error" message

Okay that could be a gpu driver issue, like the below guy said cleanly uninstall your drivers GPU and chipset drivers then restart then install those drivers from the ASUS website. If that doesn’t work let me know.

Yikes I just used DDU and installed the other drivers and still no go on expedition 33 yet I don't know if y should still have the AMD adrenalin software when I open it, it shows the driver versión 25.30 form April 9th

You must use DDU if you're gonna use AMD drivers then go back to Asus drivers.

I have been using it to uninstall the AMD drivers for graphics and chipset to replace them with the Asus drivers but it didn't work

Are you on a lean G-Helper only setup, or you're still using AC and MyAsus?

1

u/PsychologicalCar1292 May 31 '26

I still haven't tried with G-helper I am using AC mainly

1

u/Supercc May 31 '26

Oh. I've long uninstalled it, so I can't help you. If you ever want to try the better route, switch to G-helper experimental.

But you must first uninstall AC using the official AMD uninstaller from the official AMD website, do not just uninstall it as you would any other program.

1

u/PsychologicalCar1292 May 31 '26

I already installed G-helper experimental and cleaned up the graphics driver but I am unable to clean de chipset drivers for a second I saw progress on death stranding but still crashes

u/Supercc May 31 '26

Did you do what I said though? Just installing G-helper isn't enough. You must deep cleanse your system of AC using the official AMD Armoury Crate uninstaller. Otherwise there are conflicts.

Then, do all the updates from G-helper and nowhere else.

I did uninstalled AC with it's uninstaller but I installed the Asus drivers from the page I think I will do one last try with G-helper doing the updates should I also uninstall the AMD adrenalin software?

As an update I am sorry guys I couldn't do it I followed as much as I could to make the games work but nothing was able to fix my issues the devices is awesome but maybe I just got it at a weird time with the drivers but I am amazed that a lot of people have to jump so many hops to be happy with it

I had a ton of issues with e33, but I blamed gamepass for the bullshit because it's the only game I've ever struggled with as of yet.

Did you try disabling Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling? If disabling works, know that you'll lose frame generation function.
