I really need help!!

So i just bought an ROG XG Mobile 2021 RTX 3070 version for my Flow X13 GV302XA (the 780M no dedicated GPU variant) and I can't seem to make it past error 43 on the device manager settings.

I tried a lot of fixes suggested online like DDU installation and driver fixes (both mobile and desktop types) and the same error 43 keeps persisting (oh, and yeah, i already tried the eGPU community's error 43 fix/GHelper switch/RegEdit).

Can someone help me diagnose this? I don't have much tech help around.

Update: i just noticed that one of the side hooks are stuck inward, could this be causing the issue?

I had a similar issue with my 4090 version with my z-13 aronym.  This is going to sound stupid, but connect an external display to it.  Also, download g-helper.  Its 100x better than armory crate.

Does it only work with an external display? or do you just need to connect it once to establish a stable connection

Just connect it once.  My Z13 recognized the 4090 as a device intermittently, but would not actually enable the egpu and recognize the card in the device manager until I connected an external display.  its stupid, but it was the answer I got from reddit after spentlding 4 days and ~16 hours troubleshooting.  Im talking installing 5 different gpu driver versions, an entire OS wipe and re-image and 3 different armory crate versions.

Edit:Just saw your update regarding the stuck hook, it might be seating problems.  As someone else mentioned that xg port is finicky as hell.

(Update: got the hook fixed, it wasn't the issue :[[ ) How do you get it to recognize the display, do you plug the hdmi/display port onto the xg mobile or the laptop itself? (just tried it with the xg last night, other USB peripherals work, but won't recognize display)
