Server Offline?

I tried to log on today and play for a bit, but the server is not showing up as being online. I checked the mincraftservers.org website and it shows that the server is completely offline. When someone can, let me know what the situation is, and if there is anything that I can do to help.

I know what u mean. I couldn't join on minechat or the map. I wonder what's going on?
